Why To Employ a Cycling Solicitor

If you have been the victim in an accident (the accident wasn't your fault) then its essential that you contact a cycling or bicycle solicitor as soon as possible.

If you have any doubt about your claim then its best to phone up and check as most solicitors will offer a 'no commitment' analysis of your claim to see if it is worth following up.

Remember they are the folks in the know, so its always best to check and see if they can claim compensation for you.

Cycling solicitors are easy to find, and they are always willing to help out...remember they get money if you win your case, so its in their interest to check your claim.

bicycle Accident Solicitors

There are a number of different situations where you can have a cycling accident that was someone elses fault. For example a car could knock you off your bike, or someone could pull out of a junction, not see you, and block your path, causing you to fall off.

Whatever the accident may be, bicycle accident solicitors are there to help you get the compensation that you deserve.

Depending on the severity of your injury you could be entitled to anything from £100 to literally thousands of pounds.

If you think you have been involved in a bicycle accident that wasn't your fault then its best to phone a solicitor straight away. They are the professionals, so let them decide if your claim is worth perusing.

Viable Cycling Accident Claims

Knowing what accidents you can claim compensation for is useful for cyclists all around the world.

You need to know when to be ready to start remembering information...you might even want to take a pen and paper out with you when you go cycling just in case you are involved in an incident.

Listed below are some of the injuries that you would be able to claim compensation for if they unfortunately happened to you.
  • A vehicle hits you from behind (or whilst overtaking)
  • HGV fails to see you and hits you
  • A car pulls out in to you from a side road
  • A car turns across your path
  • A car overtakes you and then turns left
  • Both a cyclist and motorist carrying straight on at a junction
  • A motorist moving into a cyclist's path
Keep these in mind when you are out on your bike, and be ready to take any notes on the accident. You may need to refer to them at a later date, or your solicitor may need to use them.

Cycling Road Safety

If you are a budding cyclist and bike on busy roads on a regular basis you need to know the best ways of keeping yourself safe.

Remember the roads are an incredibly dangerous place, and when your are cycling along them you can be vulnerable.

If you take all the following cycling road safety tips in to consideration, then you should be well on your way to a safer cycling career!

Wear a Helmet

It amazes me the amount of people that cycle on busy roads without wearing a helmet. Your head is perhaps the most vulnerable part of your body when you are cycling so keeping it protected should be the first thing you think about.

Wear Bright Clothes

I admit, I hate the hi-vis jackets that cyclists wear, but there are simple alternatives that mean you can still look stylish. Cycling jerseys are nearly always bright in color, so get hold of one of those and then you won't have to wear a hi-vis jacket.

Avoid Dark Roads

If you can help it, avoid any dark and unlit roads in the evening. Even if you are wearing bright colored clothes and lights motorists will find it more difficult to spot you. Try and make the majority of your journey in the light if you can.

Use Bright Lights

There are thousands of bike lights available across the web, so there is no excuse for having no lighting when you are cycling.

Check yours and make sure they are bright enough. If not then you may need to get hold of some new ones.

More tips coming soon

Remeber if you are ever involved in a cycling accident then you need to contact a bicycle accident solicitor as soon as you can and start your claim. Most will offer a no commitment analysis of your claim so its always worth a visit.

How To Cycle Uphill

Cycling uphill is one of the more challenging aspects of riding. A lot of seasoned riders will train in mountain ranges like the Alps to build up their climbing strength. Personally I prefer going down rather than up.

Here is a great video from Youtube, with some tips for uphill cycling.
